Purpose

We support homeless and vulnerable young adults within the Borough of Eastleigh. We are committed to providing accommodation and a safe, supported environment in which to live and grow.

Our main objective is to see these young adults overcome barriers, develop the skills to achieve their potential and move into long-term accommodation. This means building relationship, listening to our service users and supporting them where they most need it.

In a world full of change and challenges, whether economic, social or political, we are determined to be a place of stability, encouragement and hope for those who need our services.

Fledge Youth Support provides accommodation, mentoring and support to equip and empower young adults to reach their potential.

Our Story

Fledge was originally the vision of Mark and Lauren Cheshire. Their shared experience of working with young, vulnerable adults and the challenges that youth homelessness brings led them to establish Fledge as a means of tackling this.

Through the development of a group of founding trustees and a lot of hard work, Fledge was registered as a charity in May 2014.

The next step was to develop our range of projects to tackle youth homelessness and raise enough funds to employee some key individuals to help make that a reality. We have seven houses and eleven flats in two blocks. These properties accommodate forty-five young adults aged 18 and over through a supported housing model. We also have fifteen staff members and a fantastic team of volunteers providing mentoring and support.

What Faith Means For Us

Fledge was founded as a charitable organisation by Christians. The Christian principles of compassion, love, and serving others guide us to support and care for those in need and are at the core of everything we do.

Fledge has adopted the Faithworks Charter.
