It has been a while since we last contacted you and we wanted to update you as so much has happened! We now have four houses, all with young people who would otherwise be homeless. We continue to see them making great strides in confidence, relationships, managing finance and gaining employment. It has been a real pleasure to watch as they regain their feet and move on to more independent living. So what else is new?
We have been struggling to cope in our office with all the demands on the small space, but the good news is, we have finally found a new office space in Leigh Road. There is room for storage, plenty of desks for the support workers, private offices for Nerissa and Tash, a lovely kitchen area and a conference space. We are very grateful for the office furniture which has been donated to us, which includes desks, chairs, bookcases and filing cabinets.
We are still considering what to do with our current office, which for now will be used mainly for storage. We are looking at developing a social enterprise project, but have no firm plans as yet. Watch this space!
Meet Willow!
Fledge has a dog who has already captured the hearts of everyone. The residents all love her and she has already proved to be an asset as she is a calming influence on any residents who are agitated or upset. She also keeps all the support workers from their jobs as she loves to be cuddled and petted.
We are looking for another full-time support worker to join our expanding team. Do you know of anyone who has experience of working with vulnerable and/or disadvantaged people who might be interested? Go to our website (http://www.fledge.org.uk/get-involved/job-opportunities/) for more information and details about making an application. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter for up to the minute news.

Ways you can support Fledge:

Regular Giving

Fledge needs around £85,000 a year to run. The first few years, until we establish a good track record, are the hardest to raise.

40 people giving £25 a month would ensure the future of our Project Manager for 6 months.

6 churches donating £1,000 would cover the training and support of our mentors for a year

£11 provides one night's accomodation
