Fledge Annual Review 2020-21 published

Reflecting on a year which saw the Charity grow its income by over 28% and increase its expenditure by 15%, as a result of taking on additional staff and residential accommodation, Fledge Chief Executive, Nerissa Dean said “The Covid pandemic provided us, and our service users with huge challenges, but thanks to the dedication and commitment of our staff team and volunteers, the support of our stakeholders and the generosity of our supporters, we were able to meet those challenges and overcome them.
With a seemingly never-ending stream of homeless young people in the Borough needing accommodation, many of whom also have significant mental health or other problems in their lives, we were delighted to add another residential property to our portfolio during 2020, and with an increase in our staff team, to accommodate and provide vital support to even more otherwise homeless and vulnerable young adults. The High Sheriff’s Award for Community Service was the icing on the cake and a huge accolade for our hard-working staff team.”
