Hygiene Helper for Homeless

Touched by the recent news media focus on the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic on homeless people and rough sleepers, local lad George has raised £17 from family and friends to buy toothbrushes and toothpaste for homeless people in Eastleigh. George said that he was ‘sad that homeless people may not have any’!

Local ASDA hypermarket were also touched by young George’s kindness, and added a further £20 to his collection. Fledge Operations Manager, Nerissa Dean was delighted to receive the package of dental hygiene products on behalf of Fledge residents.

‘We are so grateful to George and to ASDA’ she said. ‘Thanks to George, and as a result of their shared generosity, Fledge service users will all now have a broad white smile!” George is another shining example of how the Covid crisis has brought out the very best in people, young and old!”
